Coming 2013, the Nelson Literacy Directions 6 non-fiction big books with IWB Software are themed to complement the Sciences, Humanities and Arts learning areas. These stunning big books feature a range of explicit text type exemplars and authentic 'real world' texts for modelled and shared reading sessions.
The IWB Software featured with each big book allows students and teachers to work together to examine the texts in more detail. Functionality of the IWB Software includes text editing and rewriting. Text structure, language features and design features are also highlighted.
The three non-fiction big books that will be available in the Nelson Literacy Directions 6 series are 'A New Children's Hospital', 'Investigating Islands'' and 'A Kids Guide to Government'.
