Cengage Learning has acquired McGraw-Hill Australia's portfolio of secondary school titles

Cengage Learning has announced it has acquired McGraw-Hill Australia's portfolio of secondary school titles.
The acquisition, effective 1 August 2010, was ‘an attractive portfolio fit for Cengage Learning with the strength of McGraw-Hill in performing and visual arts, history, and state-specific publishing in maths and science, complementing the Cengage Learning portfolio which has good positions in maths and languages', said David O'Brien, vice-president, schools division at Cengage Learning.

For the fourth year in a row, Nelson Cengage has won the highly coveted Primary Literacy Series Award at the Australian Educational Publishing Awards presentation.
The judges said “The PM Writing 4 publication provides a comprehensive suite of print and digital tools centred on high-quality text type exemplars. These exemplars allow primary teachers and students to analyse the writing process and build writing skills. The publication provides a user-friendly approach to the complex processes that link reading and writing.”
